  • 1852 – Joint clerk and assessor to the Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen.
  • Assistant Procurator Fiscal for Aberdeenshire.
  • 1849-53 – Magistrate of Aberdeen.
  • 1844 – Admitted as a Guild burgess, 7th November.
  • 1868 – Died at Aberdeen, 24th November, aged 61.
